Today we had a kids author come and talk to us about being a Duffy kid. His name was Mr Mac.







He shared his life story and how he decided to write a kids book called Doug the Digger.






He asked Cooper to help him read his picture book to the school.


Even Emma got up and read to the school!


Emma and Cooper doing a great job turning the pages as we listened to the story.


Zavier and Mikayla collected our Duffy books for our class.

Room 3 today

Room 3 has been busy making a new bridge for our puppet play about the 3 Billy Goats Gruff. The students suggested using team work to help get the bridge built!






Some of the students made more character puppets for the play.

Keeping ourselves safe

This week Constable Cole came in to talk about good secrets and bad secrets to help keep our children safe.





The kids also talked about different types of touch that is ok and touch that is not.

Tennis with Cathy

Today we learnt some more racket and ball skills we can use in tennis.



We learnt to control the ball and keep it on the racket.



Then we had a go at hitting and bouncing the ball.





Then we had a go at hitting the ball over the net. Cathy was really amazed at all their progress!

Humpy dumpty

We have been reading about Humpty Dumpty. The children have been making Humpty Dumpty and his brick wall.










They have also been using their imagination and thinking of reasons why Humpty was sitting on the wall. What was he doing before he sat on the wall? Was he tired?



These are some of their ideas expressed using clay. Come into class to check them out!

Our class has just started using the iPads. We are learning to use Puppet Pal which is this great tool that allows the students to create their own puppet shows! Great for their imagination and oral language.

Sport with Roydon

We had a new teacher for sport today. He taught us some tennis skills.








Indy did a great job balancing the ball on her racket.
